"Marriage is not to be entered into lightly." "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it." Ephesians 6:25 KJV.

If the schedule of the couple permits, Rev.Geoffrey George would like to visit with them at a well-known local coffee shop in order to get better acquainted. If not, the ceremony can be scheduled on the phone.

When the couple chooses for him to conduct the wedding, he begins faithfully praying for the couple, their families, and for the upcoming ceremony. He is always careful to begin each wedding ceremony with prayer.

Communication is essential to the ceremony. Rev.Geoffrey George will call if he has any questions, and he asks for the couple or point of contact to call with any questions or updates. Please do leave a message if he is not able to answer at the moment that way he can return the call as soon as possible. Follow-up calls are very important so that he and the couple or point of contact can know for sure that the ceremony is on track.

Rev.Geoffrey George needs to know the details such as if there is a planner/coordinator, if there is a rehearsal/walk-through/practice, if there is a unity candle, if the couple would like him included in any photos before or after the ceremony, who to see for his fee, etc.
He will have a check-sheet prepared for the couple or point of contact to show that he continued in prayer for the ceremony, made his follow-up calls, to show the details were covered such as if there was a rehearsal/walk-through/practice, if a unity candle was present, to show he received his fee in kind, to show the license was signed, etc. It is a check-sheet only and nothing more.

He does not smoke or drink alcoholic beverages, so he will be waiting nearby enjoying a visit with the attendees, being available to the couple if needed, or reading a book until the ceremony is about to begin. During the opening prayer, the attendees freely choose if they wish to stand or remain seated, it is their choice. In any case, he announces the prayer and everyone bows their head, after which he begins administering the vows. The couple and attendees wish to celebrate the new life together as soon as possible and he is happy to sign the license upon his arrival and have the fee received so he may take his leave/depart in kind following the ceremony and the newly joined family may continue enjoying their time with the newly married couple.
